Privi attaches utmost importance to safety standards and strives to improve its Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) performance through commitment at all levels, Safety Audits & Inspections, Risk Assessment, Hazard prevention and control, EHS training programs, contractor safety management, Behavior Based Safety and Integration into continuous process improvement. We have processes for workers to report the work-related hazards which they can report through Safety Suggestion box, Daily operation meetings, Departmental safety meetings, Central safety committee meetings.
Safety & Environment awareness and communication programs are periodically done across staff and associated communities through Safety Professionals Active Network (SPAN) and Mahad Manufacturers Association (MMA). Privi is an active participant in MMA organized safety programs. Safety week is celebrated every year with novel ideas to promote safe culture & practices to further improve the safety performance.
SAEFTY WEEK 2022
The National Safety Week marks the Foundation Day of the National Safety Council, which was set up by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India. The theme for this 51st National Safety Week was "Nurture young minds - Develop safety culture". The various competitions such as Fire Drill, Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), Safety Poster, Safety Slogan, Safety Suggestions, Quiz Competition, Good Housekeeping competition and prize distribution was done during 51st National Safety Week celebration.
All the Units of the Company have sustained ‘Integrated Management System (IMS)’ combining Quality (ISO-9001), Environment (ISO- 14001), and Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSAS-45001). Our Integrated Management System’ has successfully undergone a Surveillance Audit in May 2022.
External safety training and third-party audits are regularly conducted for all units to ensure that the Occupational Health & Safety system is intact. A third-party HAZOP study has also been conducted for all critical plants to sustain the integrity of equipment and to improve the operability of the plant.
Emergency drills are conducted monthly & at odd hours to ensure and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency preparedness. The first aid training from third party was given to all employees. These are done diligently and with discipline and as per regulations and standards applicable to the facility and its operation.

Privi achieved 31.8 million safe man hours as on June 30 2022 and has also been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards:
Certificate of Merit received from the National Safety Council of India and National Safety Council, Maharashtra Chapter in recognition of appreciable achievement in Occupational Safety & Health in chemical and fertilizer industries group under the manufacturing sector category.
Rotary Water Award received at the Water Festival, Pune in 2017. This was for exemplary work in water conservation.
Certificate of Merit received for Unit – I from the National Safety Council of India for 7 consecutive years.
Certificate of Merit received from the National Safety Council – Maharashtra Chapter for meritorious performance for the 10 consecutive years.
